Cartwright Landscaping offers multiple services that help keep your irrigation system in top shape year round.

If you’d like to discuss the right plan to maintain your system, contact us to schedule a convenient time to meet with owner Jeff Cartwright.

Winterizing of Irrigation System

This service is necessary in late Fall when we use a commercial grade air compressor to blow all water out of the system to prevent freezing and cracking of the underground piping. .

The main valve connecting the emergency back flow preventer to the main water pipe of the residence is also turned to the “OFF” position at this time.

Spring Turn-On Service

This service is completed in late March when we make certain your irrigation system is fully operational following the Winter season.

The main valve connecting the emergency back flow preventer to the main water pipe of the residence is turned to the “ON” position at this time.

The system is then turned on and we inspect all irrigation heads to make certain all irrigation heads are working properly covering all required areas without inefficient spraying onto sidewalks, driveways or the street. We are happy to assist homeowners with any control box programming at this time.

Irrigation System Marking

Prior to completing either Aerating or Dethatching services, we provide marker flags for you to mark all irrigation heads and valve boxes in your lawn.

Irrigation heads and valve boxes can be badly damaged by the equipment used for these services if we run over un-marked irrigation heads or valve boxes. The marker flags alert us to avoid these areas.

Please be advised that cutting your grass poses no damage threat to your irrigation heads or valve boxes as they rest at the soil level, several inches below the top of your lawn surface.
